Can Antibiotics Give Females A Yeast Infection?

Can Antibiotics Give Females A Yeast Infection? The answer to this question is actually a very short and simple yes! Yes, yes, yes, antibiotics are more often the cause of a yeast infection in females than anything else.

Maybe it is a good idea to have a look at why antibiotics give you a yeast infection and then you will also know how to prevent it.

Well, the problem with antibiotics is that they do not only kill the "bad" bacteria that are making you ill, they unfortunately also kill the "good" bacteria. This is where the problem comes in. When the "good" bacteria that are responsible for keep the yeast under control is not there anymore, an overgrowth occurs and that is what gives you a yeast infection.

A yeast overgrowth means that the yeast is growing out of control because the factors that normally control it is not there anymore. Keep in mind that we all have the Candida Albicans in us and so it should be as the Candida Albicans (yeast) is needed to keep certain bacteria such aw E-Coli under control. It is only when the yeast is growing out of control that it becomes a problem.

The best idea is to prevent this from happening. When you have to go onto a course of antibiotics, start with a home treatment for yeast infection immediately, even before the yeast infection starts, to prevent it from even happening. There are many treatments you can use, but no matter what, if you can eat a lot of natural yogurt (preferably homemade) you will be halfway there already.

Keep in mind that it is always a good idea to treat a yeast infection holistically. So, if you have a yeast infection because of antibiotics, it is best to use a natural cure yeast infection.
